Detroit Lions key player ask shocking question to fans

KEY QUESTION: Why did the Lions trade for WR Donovan Peoples-Jones? Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell spoke to the media Tuesday after Detroit’s 26-14 win in football Monday night against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Here are all the key questions from Campbell’s press conference: Why was acquiring veteran receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones important to Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes?
Peoples-Jones is a Detroit native who played college football at the University of Michigan.
He brings good size (6-2, 204) and versatility to a Detroit receiving corps that is missing a playmaker after Marvin Jones Jr.
left the team to deal with personal family issues.
“I still feel like you’re going to get hurt,” Campbell said of the trade.
“It’s a position where we think if we can find a guy who is consistent, reliable, fits us and can play on the outside, then that’s something we want to look at and see if we can get him.
“DPJ (People-Jones) there, we really feel like we’re a good fit.
It fits our style.

He’s smart and can plays multiple positions.
He plays everything for them there.
We just thought he would be a good fit.
7.
9 average) and one touchdown and 18 kickoff returns for 379 yards (21.
1 average).

Holmes stood at the podium in front of Campbell to announce the transaction.
“We’re very excited about the baby,” Holmes said.
“He has had good performances in the past.
He will feel comfortable here.
He’s a kid with a lot of personality.
Apparently, he’s from Michigan.
He’s from Detroit.
I just talked to the kid and he is excited to start this process.
“He brings versatility.
He’s a big guy, and he’s got good catching skills.
He can play outside; he can play inside.
He is a very intelligent player.
He’s very, very resilient.
He fits everything we stand for, so I think he’ll be a great fit.

Unfortunately, a serious injury
The Lions will be looking for a new long snapper after Scott Daly suffered a knee injury against the Raiders and will require surgery.
Campbell says Daly is going to IR.
This is a pretty big loss for Detroit because Daly played very well.
He went unnoticed for eight weeks and that’s a good thing for a long snapper.
He won the training camp job and played good football.
This will be an acquisition the Lions will need to make during the bye week.

How about an update on pass rusher James Houston?
Houston suffered a leg injury early in the season that required surgery and he’s still on IR.
Campbell said it was a ‘clean’ injury and that’s good for Houston’s rehab.
The hope is he can return sometime in December, per Campbell.
Houston is a terrific pass rusher who recorded 8.
0 sacks in just seven games last season.

Marvin Jones Jr.
He was injured in Week 2 in the Lions’ loss to Seattle.
He could be a great addition to this defense later in the season.
Who stood out to Campbell the most after watching the tape of Monday night’s performance?
Violations: Running back Jahmyr Gibbs, wide receiver Amon-Ra St.
Brown, left tackle Taylor Decker and center Graham Glasgow
Campbell said it was the best game Gibbs has played to date and he praised both Decker and Penei Sewell for doing a great job handling talented Raiders passer Maxx Crosby.
Defense: linebackers Cam Sutton and Jerry Jacobs, defensive lineman Alim McNeill, defensive end Alex Anzalone, safety Kerby Joseph, and safety Tracy Walker.
