Charlie Jones won’t play against the Bills

Jones isn’t ready to come off IR but could next week

The Cincinnati Bengals will be without Charlie Jones in Week 9 when they face the Buffalo Bills.
During Wednesday’s meeting, head coach Zac Taylor announced that Jones would not be coming off injured reserve this week.
It’s possible he could return next week when the Bengals play the Houston Texans.
“There’s a chance next week, but not this week,” Taylor said of Jones.
Jones, who injured his thumb in the team’s Week 3 game against the Los Angeles Rams and later required surgery, was the Bengals’ return man and even returned a field goal for the game.

He also suffered a torn shoulder and will likely need surgery during the season.
Purdue’s fourth-round rookie has caught just one pass so far this season, but he could take over as a slot receiver in 2024 if Tyler Boyd leaves via free agency.
