Dyche is expected to make few changes

Sean Dyche exposes a family secret Everton intends to avoid relegation following a significant improvement.

Everton are gradually pulling away from the Premier League relegation zone, and manager Sean Dyche has revealed the key to their recent success.

Sean Dyche has brought a new approach to Everton’s training schedule, and the benefits are clearly showing.

After winning just one of their first six games this season, the Blues have won five of their past seven, and supporters have seen an increase in the team’s strength and fitness. That is not by chance.

Dyche has worked on a fitness program to offer his team an advantage in the Premier League’s demanding environment, including specific preparation to cater for longer matches this season due to extra added time being applied by referees.

‌ “I never question previous managers because everyone has their own style,” Dyche went on to say. “I have one, and part of it is to stay fit.” I believe that is pertinent to the modern game and sport; there are very few successful individuals and teams who are not fit.

“The more fit you are, the longer you can concentrate, the higher your oxygen levels, all that science.” Not just physical fitness, but mental fitness as well – motivation to look, body language, intent, and desire.”

There’s no denying the club has progressed from last season, with Dyche disclosing a “few changes to formats on the training ground,” including lengthier sessions to cater for longer matches.

“At the beginning of the season, there were some stories that it could be 13 minutes extra played, and we thought we needed to be ready for that, so we added a bit more physical time on your legs,” he revealed.

“The longest we’ve had, I believe, was nine minutes of extra time, so we need to plan for that.” With longer sessions, we increased the physical demand by keeping the athletes on their feet for longer periods of time.

“They are small margins, but when you add all of them together, you get a bigger margin.” We’ve also adjusted our pre-game routine and analysis from last season in order to push in the correct direction.”

Dyche is expected to make few changes from the team that thrashed Burnley convincingly in midweek, with only Abdoulaye Doucoure returning after being rested. The midfielder has signed a new one-and-a-half-year contract with the club.

“It means a lot to me to stay here,” Doucoure remarked. I’ve always fought for this club, and I’ve always loved it. I’ve always wanted to be a part of Everton. “I want to keep playing, keep learning, and keep fighting for the badge and for the club.”
