A clear and shocking message for Denver Broncos fans

Sean Payton sends clear message to Broncos

“We’re going to play in bigger games than that.”

The Denver Broncos notched a major and dominant victory on Sunday afternoon when they beat the division rival Kansas City Chiefs, ending a 16-game losing streak to Kansas City with a 24-9 victory.

It was undeniably a big win, but after the game, Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton made it clear that the team has bigger aspirations than just a regular season game against the Chiefs, saying “We’re going to play in bigger games than that.”Sean Payton declares the Jets this year's Broncos | Yardbarker

“It’s an important game for us. It wasn’t streak-driven,” Payton said during his press conference via the Denver Broncos official transcript. “It was important for us to play well before the bye (week). Getting our third win — we dug ourselves in a hole. Obviously, we’re playing a good team…. There were a lot of things to look at that were positive. We’re going to play in bigger games than that, but it is a division game, and I’m glad we won.”

The Broncos began the season with just a 1-5 record but they have now won back-to-back games and appear to be improving every week. It’s certainly too early to project that the team gets back into the playoff discussion, but it seems like they’ve bounced back a little bit.
