Ron Rivera: Commander’s head coach’s mother passes away

The Washington Commanders shared their condolences to their head coach and his family.

Washington Commanders head coach Ron Rivera can’t catch a break lately after his team is finally on a three-game winning streak, now it’s personal matters that take the coach’s attention as he’s mourning the passing of his mother Dolores, this Tuesday, the team announced and shared their condolences.

A week after Ron Rivera had missed practice due to a personal matter, that we know know was concerning his mother, Dolores, the head coach is now mourning her death after she passed away surrounded by her husband and closest family members.

The team shared their condolences with Ron Rivera and his family through this tough times.

If this week wasn’t tough enough on Ron Rivera, next Sunday they’ll have to face one of the teams that appear to be clear contenders to try and reach the Super Bowl, like the Minnesota Vikings who’ll arrive to FedEx Field with a 6-1 record, in much better position than the 4-4 Commanders.

Washington will once again wear their all black uniforms, but it’ll be the first time they do it in front of their home crowd.
