Four-star Andrew Dennis to announce commitment at All-American Bowl
The newest addition to the All-American Bowl is a four-star from Michigan who will announce his commitment at the game.
Mount Pleasant (Mich.) four-star offensive lineman Andrew Dennis has accepted an invitation to the Adidas All-American Bowl and will make his college announcement at the game on Saturday, January 6th.
It will be televised on NBC.
Dennis has not named finalists yet but is taking an official visit to Penn State this weekend. The Nittany Lions are a contender along with Illinois and Purdue, two schools he visited unofficially this fall, and Michigan State, where he was once committed. Clemson, Auburn, Kentucky, Stanford and others have also been recruiting him.
The Nittany Lions offered following Dennis’ commitment to Michigan State but offensive line coach Phil Trautwein has built a good relationship with him. They will be his first official since the re-opening of his recruitmment.
Illinois was Dennis’ first Big Ten offer and he visited Champaign both prior to his commitment to the Spartans and then again once he re-opened his recruitment.
He spoke highly of his Purdue experience and the youth of their coaching staff.
Dennis has not set any additional official visits yet, but is in the process of it and is likely to use the available and allowed weekends between now and his announcement to take those.
A 6-foot-5, 285-pound prospect, Dennis has risen up the rankings in the last six months. He was a standout for Mount Pleasant on the football field, but is also an excellent student and standout thrower in track and field.
