Good news for Texas Rangers: He is back

The Rangers Banana Boy is back

SAN ANTONIO — Christian Saenz is pumped to pack his suitcase.

“World Series baby, let’s go,” Christian said, walking into his room. “I got to pack.”

He’s getting ready for Game 2 of the World Series to root for the Texas Rangers as they host the Arizona Diamondbacks.

“We haven’t been doing good in the regular season with the D-Backs, but now that we have a new manager we are doing a little bit better,” Christian,13 said.

He says the Rangers have to do a few things in order to win the World Series.

“We are a good team already, we just (need) more pitchers, better pitchers,” Christian said.

He knows he has to do his part by packing the most important thing — his famous banana suit he wore during Games 4 and 5 of the ALCS.

“I knew you would come in handy one day,” Christian said. “I can’t forget it.”

It was his way of distracting Houston Astros players, but both games resulted in Rangers’ losses. However, he went viral on TikTok.

“I forgot to mention I got a ball from the catcher… the Astros catcher,” Christian said.

Christian has a different game plan for the World Series.

“Well, my two friends are going to be dressed as bananas such as this one right here,” Christian said.

Three bananas will be behind the batter’s box. Christian is a very superstitious fan.

“I’m going to wear the same outfit and not wash the clothes,” Christian said. “I’m going to put it on my bed and wear the same outfit.”

If he had it his way, he would pack “Mr. Skully Bones,” his skeleton prop draped in a Rangers shirt.

He called for there to be a banana stand at Globe Life Field.

“Our friend’s dad got banana hats, like the head of this banana, right here,” Christian said.

He’s hoping the banana stand behind the batter’s box will be enough to secure a victory for the Rangers.
