Former Steelers RB Duce Staley fired by Panthers
The former Steelers running back was part of a long list of Panthers firings
The Carolina Panthers have fired assistant head coach and running backs coach, Duce Staley. This comes after Carolina relieved head coach Frank Reich of his duties.
According to Ian Rapoport, the decision to fire Staley, as well as quarterbacks coach Josh McCown was made by interim head coach Chris Tabor.
Staley joined the Panthers staff this season, coming over from Detroit where he had been since 2021. Prior to his time with the Lions, he was part of the Philadelphia Eagles staff from 2011-20.
Staley was a running back for the Eagles from 1997-03 before signing with the Steelers in 2004, and finishing his career in Pittsburgh in 2006.
