Family Announces Death of Former Longhorn Jaden Hullaby

Former Longhorns defensive back and running back Jaden Hullaby, who transferred to New Mexico in 2022, has passed away.

Former Texas Longhorns 2020 signee Jaden Hullaby, was reported missing on Sunday and has now passed away, per an announcement from his brother, Landon.

“Forever living through you big brudda,” Hullaby tweeted. “I love you so much and I got you and the family forever I swear. Get your rest King”

The cause of death has yet to be released by authorities. Hullaby was last seen in Dallas on Friday heading westbound on I-30 at 6:23 pm.

Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian, who briefly coached Hullaby during his time in Austin, released a statement on his passing on Monday afternoon.

“It’s such devastating and tragic news to hear of Jaden’s passing,” Sarkisian said. “He was a great person and someone we all enjoyed being around, coaching and spending time with. All of our thoughts are with his family, friends and teammates, and we want to send our deepest condolences to them in such a difficult time.”
