Ex Clemson Tigers Safety Andrew Mukuba to Visit Texas Longhorns – NCAA Transfer Portal Tracker

The NCAA Transfer Portal is in full swing, and we have all the latest news on the Texas Longhorns here:

DEC 8 MUKUBA COMING TO ATX According to reports from On3, former Clemson Tigers safety Andrew Mukuba has set multiple visits after entering the NCAA Transfer Portal earlier this week.

And one of those visits is to the Texas Longhorns in Austin.

Mukuba, an Austin native, is the No. 1 ranked safety in the portal and was a key part of a Clemson that ranked No. 24 in the nation in scoring defense, No. 5 in pass defense, No. 27 in rush defense, and No. 7 in total defense.

Mukuba ranked third on that defense in tackles with 42, to go along with two tackles for loss, and six pass breakups.

Over the last three seasons, Mukuba has played in 35 games, making 143 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, one sack one interception, and 16 PBUs.

He has also scheduled visits to Ole Miss, Oregon, USC and Oklahoma – where his former defensive coordinator and lead recruiter, Brent Venables, is the head coach.

DEC 8 NEYOR TO PORTAL Per reports from On3, Texas Longhorns reserve wideout Isaiah Neyor has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Neyor was once a highly-anticipated addition to the Longhorns roster after transferring from Wyoming, but after injuries derailed his first season in Austin, he was never able to find time in the receiver rotation.

DEC 7 TREY MOORE TO TEXAS? The Texas Longhorns have reportedly already been in contact with some elite receivers in the transfer portal, but what about on defense?

There’s been no reported contact just yet, but the Texas-sized buzz surrounding UTSA EDGE transfer Trey Moore has been something to watch after he entered the portal Tuesday. Now, recruiting analysts are making their crystal ball predictions, which is giving some life to the speculation of Moore joining Texas.

247 Sports recruiting analysts Jordan Scruggs and Hank South both submitted their official predictions for Moore on Thursday, saying that Texas will be his portal destination after a incredible individual season with the Roadrunners.

Moore posted 14 sacks during the regular season, the third-most in FBS. In 2022, he had eight sacks and two forced fumbles.

Should these predictions come true, Texas and coach Steve Sarkisian would be getting one of the country’s most promising pass-rushers.
