Key Oklahoma Defensive Lineman Set to Return in 2024
Oklahoma’s defensive line got a massive boost on Thursday night. Da’Jon Terry, who transferred to Norman from Tennessee last year, is returning for the 2024 season, Terry announced on X.
Gobbling up space at the heart of OU’s defensive line, Terry totaled 17 tackles, including 3.0 tackles for loss and one sack. A run-stopper for defensive tackles coach Todd Bates, Terry stands 6-foot-3 and 321 pounds.
Brent Venables’s defense already got fantastic news in the return of linebacker Danny Stutsman and safety Billy Bowman, and the return of Terry should form a formable spine for the Sooners’ defense as the program heads to the SEC next year.

Bowman’s announcement came four days after he sent many OU fans into a panic by brushing aside a question about his future during an appearance on Sooner Sports Talk, while Stutsman’s announcement — replete with a minute-long video featuring Brian Bosworth, a private jet and a pair of white Corvettes — came a week after reports surfaced that the linebacker was expected to declare for the NFL Draft.
