Arkansas football transfer tracker: Who’s leaving and joining the Razorbacks via portal
FAYETTEVILLE — The transfer portal officially opened on Dec. 5, and players from schools around the country entered their names to seek opportunities elsewhere. Arkansas football was no exception.
Several Razorback players had already declared their intentions to transfer before the portal technically opened. Others waited until Monday to share their decisions. Players now have until Jan. 15 to enter the portal.
Here’s a look at which Arkansas football players have announced they will enter the portal, as well as those who have committed to transfer to Arkansas, with the latest announcements at the top of the list.
Players transferring to Arkansas
Trajan Jeffcoat, DL — Jeffcoat committed to Arkansas on Jan. 22. The transfer portal had closed to new entrants, but uncommitted players with their names still in the portal could still choose a school. Jeffcoat, a grad transfer from Missouri, made 10 starts with 21 tackles and one sack for the Tigers this season. His best year was in 2020, when he was named first-team All-SEC by the Associated Press after 23 total tackles, six tackles for loss and six sacks.
Tyrone Broden, WR — Broden committed to the Razorbacks on Jan. 15. The 6-foot-7 receiver spent four seasons at Bowling Green. This season, he played in all 13 games and had 32 receptions for 506 yards and seven touchdowns. Broden will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Isaac TeSlaa, WR — TeSlaa committed to the Razorbacks on Jan. 10. He comes to Fayetteville from Division II Hillsdale College in Michigan, and he chose Arkansas over offers from Colorado, Iowa, Iowa State, Purdue and others. At Hillsdale this season, TeSlaa caught 68 passes for 1,325 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Alfahiym Walcott, DB — Walcott committed to Arkansas on Jan. 8 following an official visit. He spent three seasons at Baylor after transferring in from junior college. He appeared in 32 games and had four interceptions in his Baylor career. He is a former three-star prospect out of Wilmington, North Carolina.
Lorando Johnson, DB — Johnson committed to Arkansas on Jan. 6, one day after taking an official visit to Fayetteville. The former Baylor cornerback, who is known as “Snaxx,” spent three seasons with the Bears and appeared in 19 games. He is a former four-star prospect out of Lancaster High School in Texas and was the No. 29 cornerback in the class of 2020 per 247Sports.
