According to reports, TCU senior offensive tackle Andrew Coker has accepted an invitation to play in the 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl, which will include some of the nation’s top upperclassmen football players. The yearly occasion functions as a preview for the 2024 NFL Draft, in which Coker and other Horned Frogs will be hoping to hear their names called. Mark Perry, a senior strong safety, has also accepted an invitation to play in the showcase game, making Coker one of two TCU players competing in the Shrine Bowl.
During his final two seasons at TCU, Coker was named an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. Coker played for the Horned Frogs for five seasons, rising to the position of starting right tackle in 2020 as a redshirt freshman. At TCU, Coker played in 48 games and made over 40 starts, the majority of which came at right tackle. Formerly a three-star recruit, the 6-foot-7, 315-pound player from Katy, Texas, chose to enroll with the Horned Frogs over a number of Power 5 universities, including Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M.
