Jordan Clarkson Sends A Message After Making Utah Jazz History
It’s been a very long time since a player for the Utah Jazz scored a triple-double but Jordan Clarkson changed that on Monday night.
During a big 127-90 win over the Dallas Mavericks, Clarkson posted 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists.
Following his triple-double, Clarkson hopped online to send his love to the city he plays for with a simple tweet: “UT🖤H.”
It was another impressive showing for Clarkson, who has averaged 17 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists this season.
This was the first time that Jazz fans saw one of their players score a triple-double since 2008 and they were very happy to witness Clarkson score such a stat line.
This is Clarkson’s fifth season with the Jazz and he has become an important part of the team during that time.
However, the 2020-21 Sixth Man of the Year has been attached to some trade rumors recently and some people believe that his time with the Jazz could be coming to an end soon.
The team is still the 12th in the West with a 15-19 record.
They are sitting on a large amount of trade assets and young up-and-coming players so there is a chance that they send some of them away to bolster their roster as soon as possible instead of just letting the team naturally grow and develop over the years.
If the Jazz do decide to part ways with Clarkson, they could probably get a lot in return for him.
But after Monday night’s showing, maybe the team will think twice about getting rid of Clarkson and instead keep him as a building block for their next chapter.
No matter what happens to Clarkson in the future, he has just earned his spot in Utah Jazz history.
