This month, European powerhouses make a formal approach to sign the 21-year-old Chelsea star.

David Fofana, a striker for Chelsea, has been connected to a permanent departure from the team.

Sevilla, a Spanish team, is reportedly eager to sign the player and has already made an official request to do so, according to Fabrizio Romano.

After struggling to get consistent playing time at Chelsea the previous season, the 21-year-old was sent on loan to Union Berlin at the beginning of this one. It appears that the Blues will now welcome him back to the team, however it is still unclear if they will be able to reach a deal with Sevilla.

The striker should sign with a squad that will provide him plenty of first-team experience, and if the Spanish team can guarantee him playing time, then a transfer there would be perfect for him. It is unlikely that he will be given frequent chances at Chelsea in the near future.

Nicolas Jackson, a former La Liga striker, was signed by the Blues at the beginning of the season, although his play has been average at best. Fofana will only move down the pecking order if he stays at Stamford Bridge as they are now eager to add the talented striker in the upcoming months.

Being a large club, Sevilla could be able to assist him in reaching his full potential. His growth would be accelerated by playing regular football in La Liga, and if he makes an impression in the Spanish league, he will have many options to sign with a major team in the future.
