Mark Robins admits that Fabio Tavares’ standout attribute might just have convinced him to keep him at Coventry City rather than being farmed out on loan this month.

The Sky Blues boss revealed last month that he thought the young striker would benefit from going to another club for the remainder of the season to get regular first team football after a year out injuredmind his manager of the one big asset he adds to the team.

Asked whether he’s still thinking of sending the lad out on loan or minded to keep him for the remainder of the season, he revealed:

“We have got to wait and see. Obviously Yasin (Ayari) has gone and we’re a number down and we’re looking to make sure that everyone stays fit and integrates well. But when you have got that speed, he’s got to be around it, there’s no two ways about that.”
