Micah Mazzccua, a lineman from Florida, has announced his move to Nebraska.
On Wednesday, Nebraska bolstered its offensive line depth by obtaining a commitment from Florida offensive lineman Micah Mazzccua through the transfer portal.
The guard made his decision to join Nebraska for his last collegiate season known on social media.
Mazzccua transferred from Baylor this past season, and he played for the Gators for a season. In 11 of the 12 games played by the Gators last season, he started at right guard. In 2023, he played 743 snaps for the Gators in all.
The previous offseason, the Huskers had assisted Mazzccua in his recruitment; however, in the end, the lineman decided to move to Florida.
Mazzccua started for Baylor for two seasons before to his one and only season with the Gators.
From the left guard position, he was considered a high-level run-blocker; in the 2022 season, he ranked eighth out of five Power 5 guards with a run-blocking score of 78.5. Pro Football Focus reports that he also racked up 14 huge blocks in that season, good for second place nationally among all guards.
Although there were rumors that Mazzccua might enter the NFL Draft, he will really use the gateway to hunt for a new home.
Earlier in the year, he had hinted at plans to use the portal in the spring, but he later erased the tweet he had written. Rather, he stayed and participated in Gators games all year long.
In the 2020 recruiting class, he was rated as the 108th best interior offensive lineman out of Baltimore, Maryland’s St. Frances Academy.
Maurice Mazzccua, the brother of Mazzccua, was a walk-on running back for the Huskers in the previous campaign.
Brice Williams went from a game-time decision to almost achieving a triple-double.

That’s simply how Brice Williams made it appear. After rolling his ankle late in Saturday’s game against Wisconsin, he had not taken part in a practice, so when he woke up on Tuesday morning, it certainly seemed like an issue.
“I’ve spent more time in the training room these past few days than in my apartment,” Williams remarked following Nebraska’s 88-72 victory over Purdue.
“This is accurate,” Rienk Mast added.
Williams expressed his desire to participate in a game like this and stated he felt he “couldn’t let the guys down.”
“Because I’ve never had the experience. That room was electrifying. “The energy was incredible,” Williams remarked. “I’m relieved I wasn’t blindsided. My teammates and I put in a lot of work, so all I wanted was to be there. I can endure a minor discomfort in order to protect them. Not just one person can win; everyone must. This evening, we supported one another.”
In Nebraska’s stunning victory that captured the interest of college basketball fans worldwide and propelled NU to 13-3 overall and 3-2 in the Big Ten, with a huge victory on its record that may matter a great deal in a few months, every player on the floor had a significant role at some point.
Even though Williams still has a lot of work ahead of him, he will undoubtedly remember this game when he is older.
He nearly had a triple double in that game, finishing with nine points, eleven rebounds, nine assists, two steals, and two blocks. In the last minutes, he even swatted Zach Edey, a 7-4 player for Purdue, at the rim. He performed for about thirty minutes.
The truth is that Williams was regarded as a game-time decision, and Fred Hoiberg wasn’t simply playing games with his players.
