Sad news: Raptors key player will be……..

  1. For the Saints, Bill Belichick may be around for a very long time.

On Friday night, the Utah Jazz will visit the Toronto Raptors in an attempt to extend their winning streak to four games. The Raptors will enter the game lacking a few important players.

Otto Porter Jr. (knee) is doubtful, Pascal Siakam (back) is questionable, and Jakob Poeltl (ankle) is listed as out. The Jazz will play at full strength and there have been no known injuries.

Utah will play six games at home starting with this match. The Jazz defeated the Denver Nuggets, the reigning world champions, on Wednesday. Leading the pace with 27 points and nine assists was Jordan Clarkson.

Since being restored to Utah’s sixth man, Clarkson has produced far more. The Jazz are 8-2 since head coach Will Hardy made the switch, with the former Sixth Man of the Year averaging 19.7 points over that ten-game run.

Utah is now tied for the tenth seed and 4.5 games from of a postseason berth after their recent outburst. Although it looked like Utah was in the running for another lottery selection, things are currently uncertain.

The trade deadline is now less than a month away, and Utah could be buyers or sellers as we inch closer to February 8. Kelly Olynyk and Clarkson make the most sense to be moved if Utah turns into sellers, but that may not go over well with the fans if Utah continues to climb the standings.

With fourteen games remaining before the deadline, Utah’s performance during their current homestand will have a significant impact on the decision made. The game starts tonight at 7:30 p.m. MST.
