With every offseason that goes by, the Sean McVay coaching tree becomes bigger and bigger. Raheem Morris, the current coach of the Atlanta Falcons and a former defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams, is the newest branch.
Morris has already snatched up another former colleague assistant, Zac Robinson, to join him as the Rams’ offensive coordinator, so it is unlikely that he will be the next coach to depart this summer. Furthermore, Nick Caley, the tight end coach with the Rams at the moment, might be the next assistant to leave L.A. for a promotion.

Morris, though, is not likely to be the final coach to depart.
The former incoming England Patriots assistant Caley is in the running to be offensive coordinator for incoming coach Jerod Mayo, according to a report from ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

Before joining McVay’s staff in 2023, the 41-year-old spent eight seasons in Foxboro working under then-legendary coach Bill Belichick. After starting in 2015 as an offensive assistant in New England, Caley worked his way up the ladder, coaching tight ends from 2017 to 2022.
This isn’t the first time that the current Rams assistant has found himself in the running for the Patriots offensive coordinator role, as he even interviewed for it following the 2021 season as Josh Jerod Mayo took the Las Vegas Raiders coaching job.
