Sad news for Huskers: he want to leave

Nebraska football fans blasted for leaving Michigan game early

Nebraska football fans began leaving Memorial Stadium in droves right around half time and that had some more than a little angry.

It’s been a long couple of years for Nebraska football. Bad losses have abounded. It appears that Husker fans are getting a little tired of how often those bad losses occur.

Likely because the Nebraska football team didn’t put up much of a fight against the Michigan Wolverines, there were more than a few fans seen exciting the stadium early.

That caused some other Nebraska football fans to call thoe who left “fair weather fans.”

It’s possible that unusually hot temperatures had something to do with people not being willing to watch Nebraska football get drubbed in the second half. The 28-0 score at intermission was the icing on the cake.

While there were plenty online who had problems with Husker fans leaving before the game even reached the end of the third quarter, there were others who think Nebraska football has no one to blame but the program itself.

“This stuff is rich,” one10/11 News executive director Brett Baker responded. “Yesterday was the first time I’ve ever left a game at halftime. That’s in 41 yrs of attending games. People have been filling Memorial for a bad product for a long time. I’ve often argued we’ve been TOO LOYAL. Empty seats speak volumes.”

Baker went on to say that he thinks the unyielding loyalty to Nebraska football is one of the reasons why the Huskers are as bad as they are. He added that he spent a ton of money on the Colorado game in 2019.
