Mikel Arteta will be aiming to have three injured Arsenal stars return for the Premier League match against Sheffield United on Monday. On Saturday night, the Gunners crushed Newcastle United 4-1 in a decisive manner in response to their Champions League loss to Porto.
Arsenal had a significant boost from three points, and they received another when Gabriel Jesus made his way back from injury to the matchday squad. The Brazil international was back in the lineup this past weekend after missing the previous two weeks due to a knee ailment, however he was still on the bench.

Takehiro Tomiyasu, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Thomas Partey were still absent, but Arteta will be hopeful the three can make it back in time for the trip to Sheffield United in a week.
He has missed the last four games due to a knee injury that he is still recovering from. Jesus did not travel to Porto and was left out of the team at Turf Moor. The Brazil international was not utilized as a substitute despite being back in the team to play Newcastle.

Arteta stated: “He experienced a minor response in training again, and we were unable to cure it as quickly as we had hoped. Since he has been gone for a while and is a player we need to be at his best, we didn’t want to take any more chances. We agreed to extend his stay by a few days.”

It is hoped he won’t need surgery and can get back to normal as soon as possible. However, he did not return in time to play against Porto, nor did he travel with his teammates. Partey felt that the Newcastle game came too soon, even though Arteta gave an encouraging report.
