He was named the FVA Player of the Year and a Division I All-State selection by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
He led Oshkosh North to a 26-1 record as a senior, averaging 22.9 points, 6.2 assists, 5.1 rebounds, 3.5 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game.[10] In a victory versus West Virginia recruit Jordan Mccabe and Kaukauna High School on February 18, 2018, he scored a career-high 42 points.[11] In a victory over Brookfield East High School in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division I state championship game, Haliburton scored 31 points, including 24 in the second half, and made 18 of 18 free throw attempts.
