Super League injury room as Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors suffer key setbacks

Castleford Tigers
Danny Richardson will miss their round three game with Warrington Wolves after failing a head injury assessment. The Tigers already have an extensive injury list. Co-captain Paul McShane is facing five weeks out of action with a hamstring injury. Alex Mellor is expected to miss the first four rounds of the season with a knee injury suffered against Keighley Cougars while new signing Sylvester Namo is still recovering from an ACL injury and isn’t due to play until April. George Griffin faces an unspecified period out due to concussion protocols, and Josh Hodson has missed the opening rounds with a foot injury. Liam Watts is suspended.

Catalans Dragons
Siosiua Taukeiaho has a foot injury that will keep him out until the end of May. Elsewhere, Manu Ma’u & Tanguy Zenon are also set to miss the opening rounds of the season. Micky McIlorum is suspended.

Huddersfield Giants
Luke Yates is suspended until round four while Harry Rushton is a long-term absentee due to an ACL injury. Andre Savelio is out for an unspecified period of time due to a pre-season setback. Joe Greenwood is expected back in round three or four.

Hull FC
Harvey Barron is the latest injury concern for Hull FC after tweaking his hamstring against Warrington Wolves. The Black and Whites are already in some strife. Danny Houghton will miss the game against Warrington Wolves due to a failed concussion. Brad Fash will be unavailable until the end of April after a serious ankle injury, and Joe Cator suffered a substantial hamstring injury against Hull KR that is set to keep him out for a long period of time. CarlosTuimavave missed the season opener due to a calf complaint and is a doubt for round two. Liam Tindall has broken his thumb and will be missing until at least round four. Jake Trueman is recovering from the Achilles injury he suffered last season and is expected back in May, while Mitieli Vulikijapani isn’t expected back until March due to an ACL injury. Elsewhere, young first-team due Kye Armstrong and Cobie Wainhouse remain absent. Armstrong is rehabbing his shoulder, while Wainhouse has an ACL injury.

Hull KR
The Robins could have a full bill of health for their trip to Salford. Sam Luckley and Dean Hadley are both expected to be available for the game after missing the Leeds Rhinos game due to an ankle injury and concussion respectively.

Leeds Rhinos
The Rhinos are awaiting the results of a scan on Mikolaj Oledzki’s shoulder. The injury saw him miss the defeat to Hull KR. David Fusitu’a has been ruled out until April due to knee surgery and Morgan Gannon is set for a three-month layoff due to concussion complications. Derrell Olpherts is unavailable until round four due to a hip injury. James McDonnell and Tom Holroyd have missed the opening two games but are expected to be back imminently.

Leigh Leopards
The Leopards are sweating on Edwin Ipape , who has suffered a knee injury. Provisionally, the Leopards expect him to be unavailable until at least round six. Nathan Wilde will not play until May after breaking his collarbone.
