Good News: We are hoping to reunite with talented RB.

CLEMSON: Jay Haynes, a running back, should be able to gain some playing time this spring, according to head coach Dabo Swinney of Clemson.

Haynes injured his hamstring during mat drills last month, so he’s presently missing practice.
“They haven’t released him yet. He is superior. He’s making progress, according to Swinney.
Haynes has been plagued by persistent injuries since last fall. After participating in three games last autumn, he sprained his high ankle, and just before the Tigers defeated Kentucky in the Gator Bowl, he sustained another injury.

I detest it because we were going to play him (last autumn) every single time (something happened),” Swinney remarked. “He sprained his upper ankle. Then he develops a hamstring or groin injury just as we are getting ready for the bowl game once we get him back. I cannot recall the name of it.
Haynes was making plays during camp last August before sustaining the ankle injury last October. The coaches wanted to get Haynes on the field when Will Shipley was hurt later in the season. Regretfully, he too sustained injuries.

Haynes saw little action last autumn, but he still managed to dash six times for 35 yards and a touchdown and grab two receptions for an additional 20 yards and a touchdown.
Swinney stated, “We have all seen it on our practice field, but he never really got the opportunity.” “So, while we are enthusiastic about his potential, he needs to be available right now.”
Haynes ran for 2,669 yards and 37 touchdowns in 24 games at Handley High School in Roanoke, Alabama, before having to redshirt the previous season. In his final two seasons there, he averaged 10.6 yards per run.

Before the end of spring, perhaps, he’ll be able to obtain something (from him),” Swinney remarked.
