Man Utd Injury Crisis Eases! Key Players Back for Everton Clash

Manchester United fans can breathe a sigh of relief as their injury crisis seems to be easing slightly ahead of the crucial Premier League clash against Everton this Saturday.

Marcus Rashford, who was forced off after 70 minutes in the disheartening 3-1 defeat to Manchester City, has been spotted training at Carrington, raising hopes for his inclusion in the upcoming match. Veteran defender Jonny Evans, who was also subbed out as a precaution against City, is another potential boost for the Red Devils.

Erik ten Hag’s squad was ravaged by injuries during the derby, with a staggering eight first-team players missing the game. The potential absence of Rashford and Evans could have pushed that number into double digits, seriously jeopardizing United’s Champions League aspirations. However, Rashford’s return to training offers a glimmer of hope for Ten Hag’s men.

While Rashford seems likely to feature, the news on Evans remains unclear. He was not seen in the training images released by the club, leaving his availability for the Everton fixture a question mark. United’s defensive woes could be further compounded by the continued absence of key players like Aaron Wan-Bissaka (out for over a month), Luke Shaw (out till May with a muscle issue), and Tyrell Malacia (recovering from a knee injury).

Lisandro Martinez is also expected to be out for at least another three weeks, adding to the defensive headache for Ten Hag.

The injury list doesn’t end there. Harry Maguire has missed the last two games with an undisclosed injury, and Mason Mount, who is on loan from Chelsea, remains out with a calf problem that has sidelined him for three months. Anthony Martial is another long-term absentee, recovering from groin surgery.

Despite the remaining injury concerns, the potential return of Rashford offers a much-needed boost to Manchester United’s morale as they look to get their season back on track against Everton. Can Ten Hag navigate through the remaining injury issues and secure a vital victory to keep their Champions League dreams alive? All eyes will be on Old Trafford this Saturday as the Red Devils seek redemption.
