Micah Richards has observed a recent shift in him at Arsenal and has hinted that his previous team did not adequately value him.

Micah Richards has noticed a change in Kai Havertz at Arsenal recently and has suggested that he was not properly appreciated at Chelsea.

Kai Havertz has established himself as one of the first names on the Arsenal teamsheet in recent weeks and is scoring goals regularly.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been playing the 24-year-old Germany international as a false nine.

Havertz joined Arsenal from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer of 2023.

The former Bayer Leverkusen star, who won the UEFA Champions League with the Blues, struggled in the opening months of the season. However, Havertz has found a place for himself in the Arsenal team. He has scored eight goals and given three assists in 20 Premier League starts this season.

Havertz scored the winning goal for Arsenal against Brentford in the Premier League this past weekend, and former Manchester City player and Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards has noticed that he looks happy now.

Micah Richards praises Arsenal star Kai Havertz

Richards said about Havertz on The Rest is Football podcast: “Indeed he has (stepped up). And I am glad because obviously it didn’t work out for him at Chelsea, although he scored the winning goal in the Champions League final against Man City, so he has scored big goals before.

But I just feel like he is really appreciated at Arsenal. At times, a lot of people were doubting him, doubting his position.

“I think we all have sort of said that, but Arteta has found a way for him to get to his best form, the way they play, and he looks like he is happy and he has got his confidence back, which is nice to say.”

My View: Kai Havertz will play a big role for Arsenal this season

In my opinion, Kai Havertz will play a huge role for Arsenal in the coming weeks and months of the season.

Liverpool and Manchester City are doing extremely well at the moment, and Arsenal will have to keep up.
