Hope endures as Sean Dyche is seen pushing his Everton team hard on the team’s “working trip.”

Sean Dyche has been pictured putting his Everton squad through their paces on the club’s “working trip.”

Having jetted out on Monday to an unspecified location in Portugal, the Blues players were shown getting straight down to business and taking part in some early sessions. Everton – who have now gone 11 Premier League games without a win following the 2-0 defeat at Manchester United on Saturday, do not play again until their trip to Bournemouth on March 30 due to the postponement of the Merseyside Derby next weekend because of Liverpool’s FA Cup commitments and then an international break.

When asked about their three-week fallow period in his pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to Old Trafford, Dyche said: It’s a reality. I always try and deal in realities, we’ll try and get the players away for a few days because it is a long period.

“We didn’t know until the fixture was changed so we’ll try and break that up by getting them away for a few days, it will be a working trip which we’ve managed to scramble together really because obviously we didn’t know until very recently what the game schedule was going to change to. It’s been a tricky one for us, we all know the amount of games we had in December with a thinning squad due to injuries and then all of a sudden you’ve got these chunks without a game but like I say it’s a reality of how the fixtures have fallen.”

Here’s a look at some of the things spotted from the Blues’ temporary base on the west of the Iberian peninsula…

Everton’s number nine Dominic Calvert-Lewin hasn’t scored in his last 22 appearances but the striker appeared all smiles as he took part in a mini game of football tennis with Ashley Young against Amadou Onana and Jack Harrison
