Tottenham has till June 14th, June, to make up their minds about signing this adaptable striker.

German striker Timo Werner joined Tottenham Hotspur on loan during the January transfer window.

According to BILD, Tottenham have an option to sign the player permanently at the end of the season but they will have to make a decision by the 14th of June. The option to buy the player for a set fee expires on that date and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham are prepared to sign him permanently.

The 28-year-old has done reasonably well since returning to the Premier League and he has two goals and two assists to his name in seven appearances.

Werner had struggled for regular game time during the first half of the season at RB Leipzig and he will hope to secure a permanent move to Tottenham in the summer. Returning to the Bundesliga club will not be ideal for him.

Tottenham need depth in their attack add keeping the versatile forward could be useful for them. It remains to be seen whether Werner can continue to impress in the remaining weeks of the season.

The German striker has previously played for Chelsea in the Premier League but he had an underwhelming spell with the Blues. Spurs’ attacking system has proven to be a better fit for him and he has done reasonably well at the London club.

Tottenham fans will hope that he can continue to help them in the attack and ensure Champions League qualification for the next season.

Meanwhile, the report from BILD claims that Spurs will be able to sign the player permanently for a fee of just €17 million if the clause is activated by the 14th of June. The reported fee could prove to be a major bargain for a player of his quality and experience.
