Sad news: The player has played his final game for Leeds United and is not expected to receive a contract renewal from the team.

Cody Drameh is not set to receive a Leeds United contract extension and has played his last game for the club, sources have told Football Insider.

The 22-year-old’s contract is set to expire in June and it is believed the Whites have decided against offering him a new deal.

Drameh is currently on loan at Birmingham City – who could choose to make him a permanent arrival at St Andrews’ this summer

Leeds will be due a compensation fee if he joins the Midlands side permanently due to his age.

The right-back has played 27 times across all competitions for the Blues this term after turning out twice for Leeds earlier this season.

Leeds to let Drameh go – but could bank compensation fee

Drameh is experienced at Championship level after loan spells at Cardiff and Luton in the 2022-23 campaign.

The former England Under-21 international has now made 64 appearances in the second tier.

He is just one of several Leeds players out on loan following the club’s relegation from the Premier League last term.

The Yorkshire giants are well-placed to return to the top-flight but it is believed Daniel Farke is keen to remain loyal to his current crop of players if they complete the job.

Farke is also keen to add more quality to his Whites squad if they are promoted.

Leeds sit second in the Championship and could go top of the table after their clash with Millwall on Sunday (17 March).
