Superior quality According to Pundit, these two Manchester City players will utterly smash Newcastle tonight.

Manchester City v Manchester United - Premier LeagueDarren Ambrose has suggested that Manchester City could blow Newcastle United away in today’s FA Cup clash.

After demolishing Luton Town 6-2 in the previous round, the Citizens will look to secure their place in the semis this afternoon by beating the Tyneside club at the Etihad Stadium.

Looking ahead to this game, one pundit has shared his thoughts on what the outcome could be and which two City players could grab the headlines on this occasion.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Ambrose had this to say about City’s match against the Magpies.

He said: “This is looking like a battering if I’m going to be honest and I don’t want to say it because they’re my former club, I love watching Newcastle, I’ve got a lot of Newcastle-supporting friends so I don’t want to say it but it’s looking like this could be a heavy defeat for Newcastle.

“I’m only saying it because we have the international break coming up so it’s not like they’ve got an important Champions League game or league game coming up, they can literally play their full-strength squad, barring injuries, and you don’t want that if you were Newcastle.

“Ideally, they would have loved them to have their Champions League game on Wednesday or Tuesday and they’d know they’re going to rest a few players. But, Erling Haaland scoring the five goals in the previous round and Phil Foden looking world-class at the moment, you never know, but it’s looking like it could be really, really difficult for Newcastle.”

With Pep Guardiola’s side scoring 12 goals across their three FA Cup games this season, five of which were scored by Haaland against Luton as Ambrose mentioned, this shows why the pundit reckons today’s game could see the home side score a decent number of goals.

Especially since Eddie Howe’s team have conceded 16 goals in the Premier League since City beat them at St. James’ Park back in January and only managed to scrape past Blackburn Rovers on penalties in the previous round of the FA Cup.

With all of that in mind, it’s understandable why Ambrose doesn’t have much confidence for his old side when it comes to overcoming City and progressing to the semi-finals.
