According to recent reports, Liverpool is considering making a bid for this attacker, who can prove to be a valuable asset for any manager chosen for the upcoming campaign.

Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp Says He Doesn't Support a Super LeagueLiverpool are now said to be considering a move for an attacker who could be a key player for any manager appointed next season.

Jurgen Klopp is now in the final months of his Liverpool tenure, and will perhaps still be ruing Sunday’s FA Cup exit.

Manchester United were eventually more ruthless in attack, something you couldn’t say too often of late.

And whilst Liverpool do have some incredibly strong forwards, they are perhaps slightly missing the impact of Diogo Jota.

Mohamed Salah is only just getting back to fitness admittedly, but Jota’s return would be welcome if he can feature in the near future.

Darwin Nunez is still doing a fine job, but perhaps Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo need to find more end product.

All that considered, German journalist Patrick Berger has now been detailing that Liverpool are still considering a move for PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko.

The ‘explosive’ winger is being chased by a host of top European clubs according to the journalist.

And although the 20-year-old Belgium international doesn’t have a release clause, Berger indicates that a price has been named.

Berger confirmed that English sides Chelsea and Manchester City were also keeping a close eye on Bakayoko’s future.

He explained: “Johan Bakayoko is a summer top target for European top clubs.

“Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Paris and BVB are monitoring his situation. Contract until 2027, no release clause.

“Price tag: €50-60m€. Brentford €40m bid in winter was rejected by PSV Eindhoven.”

Bakayoko has really strengthened his reputation whilst playing in the Champions League this season.

And the left footed attacker, who really does have ‘searing pace’, reminds of Arjen Robben’s days at PSV, cutting in from the right wing onto his left foot.

Of course, if Bakayoko was also able to emulate Robben’s time in the Premier League, he would be onto a winner.

It’s obvious why Liverpool would be interested in a move for an attacker like Bakayoko, who is clearly destined for big things.

But surely a move will depend on the next manager the club decide to appoint, whether it’s Xabi Alonso, Robert De Zerbi or somebody else.

That being said, one Liverpool player may already be in the territory in which he needs to prove his worth to his next boss.
