Sad news: Top Everton player could miss months due to a head injury, says Dr Rajpal Brar.

Everton youngster, Elijah Campbell, who is on loan at Fleetwood Town, may be out for months with a head injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has reacted to a March development where the 19-year-old was knocked out cold with an elbow to the face against Stevenage.

He could play just 31 minutes of the game and while the best case might be a knock, the worst case may see him needing surgery as well.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Campbell:

“He caught a nasty elbow to the face and could not continue the game because of a head injury.

The immediate protocol with him taking an elbow to the face is concussion concern and potential fractures.

If there’s any concern for neurological issues, they would stabilise the neck and head.

The best case here would simply be a knock, the worst case would be concussion and fractures that require surgery ruling him out for months.“

Everton sensation Campbell faces major injury scare

Everyone involved will be hoping that Campbell recovers quickly and it’s not that severe which will see him requiring surgery.

Fleetwood took to Twitter to wish him the best of luck and they will want him to return to action soon and continue his impressive loan spell.

The game in which the teenager picked up an injury ended 0-0 and Campbell is yet to return to action for Fleetwood Town, missing both the games after that.
