The 22-year-old sent the message on Instagram.

So, which Nottingham Forest player did Brennan Johnson get in touch with? Let’s take a look…

Brennan Johnson sends message to Neco Williams

Well, the Welshman – who was sold to Tottenham in a £47.5m deal back in August – played a UEFA EURO 2024 qualifier for Wales against Finland on Thursday alongside Neco Williams.

The Nottingham Forest No.7 actually scored a stunning freekick to put Wales 2-0 up in the 38th minute, before a goal from Johnson made it 3-1 in the 47th minute.

Wales eventually coasted to a 4-1 win over Finland.

After the UEFA EURO 2024 qualifier, Johnson posted “😊” in the comments section of an upload from Williams, with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ryan Yates also messaging the £17m man.

Yates simply replied “😍” while Hudson-Odoi sent three fire emojis to emphasise just how good a strike it was from Williams.

Harry Toffolo – who the Wales international recently mocked in training – also got involved, calling his Nottingham Forest teammate a “riddle master 🔥” after seeing his excellent strike.

Williams is quite clearly an excellent technician when it comes to dead ball situations, so perhaps it is time for Nuno Espirito Santo to put the 22-year-old on corner duty at Nottingham Forest.

Morgan Gibbs-White currently takes corners, although his deliveries are somewhat hit and miss.

In regards to Williams, the man from Cefn-mawr seems to regularly get his crosses spot on for Wales.

There were even some supporters calling for Nuno to put him on corner duty in the comments section on Instagram, amidst the messages from Johnson, Yates, Toffolo and Hudson-Odoi.

If Williams conjures up more magic from a dead ball situation when Wales take on Poland this Tuesday, the Portuguese tactician may have a decision to make after the international break.
