Henry Winter has labelled West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen “excellent” after the forward’s display for England against Belgium.
Jude Bellingham scored with almost the lack kick of the game as Gareth Southgate’s side drew 2-2 with Belgium in a friendly at Wembley on Tuesday (26 March).
Bowen started the match and completed 80 minutes and thought he had scored his first England goal during the first half, only for VAR to rule out his effort for an offside.
Nonetheless, The Times’ Winter was still very impressed by Bowen, writing on his official X account (26 March), “Jarrod Bowen excellent, too”.

While the discussions are so often centred around how Southgate will fit Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden into the same England team, Bowen proved on Tuesday that he should be in that conversation.
The 27-year-old has been in fantastic form for David Moyes’ side this season and it was hard to fault his performance for the Three Lions against Belgium.
As per Sofascore, Bowen played four key passes as he provided a continuous threat for the hosts.
His 14 goals in the Premier League this season demonstrate a player in the form of his life, and there is no doubt that Bowen should be on the plane to Germany this summer.
Not only should he be a part of Southgate’s travelling squad, but he should be handed plenty of minutes at the tournament too.
Moyes will be delighted by the way Bowen performed for England and will be hoping that his star man brings that form and confidence back to East London.
