Everton News: Chris Sutton predicts with accuracy what will happen in the “desperate” duel between BBC Sport and Bournemouth.

The BBC Sport pundit doesn’t think that the Toffees will be able to get back to winning ways at the Vitality Stadium following the March international break, predicting they’ll take a point back to Merseyside and draw 1-1.

Bournemouth all but guaranteed their place in the top-flight with their impressive win over Luton Town last time out, but Sutton doesn’t believe the Cherries will take their foot off the gas against Sean Dyche’s side.

Writing in his BBC Sport Premier League predictions (28 March) he said: “I keep thinking Everton will turn a corner and get the win they have been waiting so long for, but it has not happened yet.

“They were a bit unlucky to lose to Manchester United in their last game, on 9 March, but things are not going to change until they start taking the chances they are creating.

“Bournemouth’s comeback against Luton essentially means they are safe with 10 games to go, which is a position Everton would love to be in.

“Sean Dyche’s side beat the Cherries at Goodison Park in October but I just don’t see them winning this one, even though they are desperate for the points.”

Will Everton be relegated from the Premier League this season?

Everton are still far from safe from relegation in the Premier League and they seriously need to start picking up results on the pitch to ease the fears of relegation which have been growing in the stands this term.

While uncertainty off the pitch has clouded the Toffees’ recent poor form, Dyche’s side need to get back to winning ways otherwise they could well be set to coast into the Championship without any real fight.

It has been a turbulent season for Everton and Sean Dyche

Bournemouth are a good side and will almost certainly cause the Blues problems, but as Sutton suggested, Everton have the quality to claim all three points if they just start to take their chances in the final third.

Hopefully, the international break and the Toffees’ training camp will have given Dyche and his staff time to get the players ready for this game and they will be able to better Sutton’s prediction and claim all three points on the south coast.
