Rivals Between Ric Flair and a Former Knicks Reporter Regarding LeBron James’ Age

After a standout performance by LeBron James in the regular-season finale, retired WWE legend Ric Flair found himself embroiled in a war of words with former New York Knicks reporter Alan Hahn.

The feud stems from Hahn’s comments made last year, likening James to an “old iPhone” and suggesting that the NBA superstar’s prime had passed.

Following the Los Angeles Lakers’ commanding victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, during which James notched a 28-point triple-double, Flair took to social media to fire back at Hahn’s year-old critique. In a scathing tweet, Flair labeled Hahn a “stupid SOB” and expressed his disdain for the journalist’s sports reporting.

“I’m Sorry To Report To You @alanhahn That LeBron Recorded Another Triple Double A Year After You Called Him An Old Man. You Stupid SOB. It’s So Embarrassing To Have You Report About Sports. When I See You On @GetUpESPN Or @FirstTake, I Turn The TV Off.@KingJames, Triple Double. The @Lakers March On! WOOOOO!”

Flair’s fiery retort didn’t go unanswered, as Hahn swiftly responded with a firm stance on his previous remarks regarding James’ age.

“He IS old. And as I said then he’s still great. Just like you, Ric. Can’t wait for @GetUpESPN tomorrow. I know you’ll be watching. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO.”

Hahn’s original comparison of James to an “old iPhone” centered on the notion of the basketball star’s diminishing athletic prowess compared to his prime years. While acknowledging James’ continued impact on the court, Hahn emphasized the inevitability of age catching up with even the greatest athletes.

“The very first thing I thought of after watching this game was that LeBron James’ battery is drained,” Hahn remarked. “It’s like an old iPhone. When you plug it to charge, it never gets back to 100 percent.”

As the debate rages on, fueled by Flair’s passionate defense of James and Hahn’s steadfast analysis, basketball fans are left to ponder whether age truly is catching up with the NBA’s reigning superstars.
