Manchester United legend Eric Cantona has candidly admitted that he still shares a close relationship with one Manchester City superfan.
One of Manchester United’s beloved No 7s, Eric Cantona forever etched a legendary legacy at Old Trafford after his spell under former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Cantona previously featured in the music video for Liam Gallagher’s ‘Once,’ a track from the Manchester native’s 2019 album Why Me? Why Not.
The former Leeds United and Red Devils player also made an appearance alongside Gallagher at the NME Awards 2020.
Cantona presented the 51-year-old Manchester City fan with the Best Music Film award for his 2019 documentary Liam Gallagher: As It Was.
When asked if they were still friends, he told the NME: “Yes, of course… I listened to his new album with John Squire, the guitarist of The Stone Roses [titled ‘Liam Gallagher John Squire’].
It’s a great album. I love it. And they invited me to go and watch them live. I hope I can go, but I don’t think I can with all the [gigs I’m playing]. We’ll see.”
