Juan Soto goes viral for icy staredown with Orioles pitcher after hitting HR
New York Yankees star Juan Soto savored every bit of his home run Tuesday off Baltimore Orioles pitcher Dean Kremer.
The Yankees trailed the Orioles 4-1 with nobody on in the top of the 6th inning at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Md.
With Soto facing a full count, the Yankees slugger hit a monstrous home run off a belt-high sinker from Kremer
After the game, Soto was asked about staring down Kremer. The Yankees star said that Kremer took exception to Soto’s signature shuffle in the batter’s box.
“He didn’t like the shuffle. I bet he didn’t like the homer too,” said Soto.
oto has never been afraid to get heated with opposing pitchers. Soto has even had beef with one of his current Yankees teammates in the past.
But Kremer and the Orioles did get the last laugh against Soto and the Yankees. Soto’s solo shot was the final run scored in the 4-2 Baltimore win.
Kremer gave the Orioles a quality start. He allowed just four hits and two earned runs across 7.0 innings pitched.
Soto, who went 2-of-3 in the contest, accounted for half of the Yankees’ hits against Kremer.
