Shota Imanaga’s Incredibly Sweet Response Upon Realizing Spider-Man’s Perspective While Pitching in New York

Chicago Cubs pitcher Shota Imanaga delivered yet another stellar performance in Wednesday”s 1-0 victory over the New York Mets, and his reaction to his first visit to the Big Apple is truly priceless.

Speaking to reporters post-game, Imanaga was asked about his experience pitching in the city for the first time, and he referred to the iconic superhero, Spider-Man.

“Well, I recognized the hotel view from Spider-Man,” he said through his translator.

Imanaga pitched seven innings without conceding a run, marking his fourth start in six games where he kept the opposing team from scoring. He struck out seven batters and only walked one, lowering his season ERA to an impressive 0.78.

While Imanaga shone on the mound, outfielder Ian Happ played a crucial role in securing the victory. Happ teamed up with Nick Madrigal and Miguel Amaya to execute an incredible 7-5-2 double play in the ninth inning.

Looking ahead, Imanaga is set to take the mound for the Cubs in their upcoming series against the San Diego Padres at Wrigley Field.
