Chelsea makes the ultimate decision, but West Ham United benefits greatly from the big Trevoh Chalobah claim

Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah could very well be West Ham United bound in the summer transfer window.

Trevoh Chalobah has been a transfer target for West Ham for some time now, most recently back in January when the Chelsea ace was linked with a move to the London Stadium.

He remained at Stamford Bridge in the end, and David Moyes failed to strengthen his defensive ranks as a result.

The Hammers are now in the dawn of an exciting new era, with Julen Lopetegui set to replace Moyes.

The Spaniard is apparently eyeing up six new signings for West Ham, and one of his main priorities should be to sign a top class central defender.

Kurt Zouma is well past his best physically, whilst Nayef Aguerd is painfully ill-suited to the Premier League and Konstantinos Mavropanos is still yet to prove himself.

And upgrade on all three of those defenders is needed urgently this summer, and now the door is wide open for Lopetegui to bring in a truly top-class centre-back…

So, the Blues ace is seemingly there for the taking for West Ham this summer.

That’s because The Telegraph have made a new claim about the versatile English defender.
