espite the ease of completing deals on FIFA, Football Manager and other popular games, the real world is nothing alike when it comes to football recruitment.

Players must explore the area, research properties, potentially learn a new language, and also have to possibly relocate families – and it may sometimes all fall apart regardless if the selling club fail to find a replacement.

In regards to that latter point, Arsenal have just received a boost…

Arsenal could now have golden chance to sign Wojciech Szczesny

A story by the Evening Standard recently claimed that Arsenal are thinking about bringing Wojciech Szczesny back to the Emirates Stadium – amid doubts over the future of Aaron Ramsdale.

The Poland international still classifies as a homegrown player in the Premier League after emerging from Hale End in 2009 – making him an attractive option for Mikel Arteta.

Szczesny remains a key man at Juventus, keeping 15 clean sheets in 35 Serie A appearances throughout the 2023/24 campaign.

However, the Pole’s contract expires in 12 months, and now – according to Fabrizio Romano – Juventus have sealed the €20m (£17m) signing of another goalkeeper in Michele Di Gregorio.
