United States international Bryan Reynolds has been linked with a move to Hull City for the second time in as many seasons, having been touted for a switch to East Yorkshire 15 months ago.
Reynolds, a former defender at Italian giants Roma, has been plying his trade in Belgium with KVC Westerlo having seen his loan move turned permanent in a 3.5m euro deal last summer having impressed at Het Kuipje.
The 22-year-old will be involved in this summer’s Olympic games in Paris as part of the USMNT squad having caught the eye throughout the campaign in Belgium, where he played 34 times for the club owned by Turkish businessman Oktay Erca.
More than twelve months ago, Reynolds was linked with a move to City both in the January and summer transfer windows, but this summer, the Tigers will need to bring in cover to provide competition to skipper Lewie Coyle, after Cyrus Christie was released at the end of his two-year contract, and Goal claim the Tigers have once again turned their attention to the right-back.
Reynolds, who can also operate on the right side of midfield, began his career at FC Dallas where he became the youngest player in the club’s history to sign a pro contract at the age of 15, and burst onto the MLS scene. He got himself a loan move to Roma which was then made permanent, though he only played six times for the Giallorossi in Serie A and once in the Europa Conference League.
Speaking recently about a potential move to England, Reynolds delivered a cautious response. “We’ll see about the future,” he said. “I’m not concerned with all that right now. The only thing that matters is Westerlo. If the team performs well and I play well, the rest will take care of itself.”
