Breaking: Everton wants to re-sign Jack Harrison on a season-long loan, forcing Leeds United to slash expenses.

Everton feel they can re-sign winger Jack Harrison from Leeds United on another season-long loan deal after they lost the playoff final, according to The Mirror.

The Whites were beaten 1-0 by Southampton (26 May) and now face another season in the Championship, meaning they will need to “cut costs” as their parachute payments are decreased.

And writing on their website (27 May), the news outlet report that the Toffees believe they can take advantage of that by bringing Harrison back to Goodison Park on loan again rather than signing him permanently.

Everton have their own financial issues and must be smart

Sean Dyche has earned the trust of the fans, players and board at Goodison Park with his performance last season, and now he must be backed in the transfer window as a result.

But the club’s financial situation means he won’t have a lot of money to spend, and he is almost certain to lose a key player or two to ensure they aren’t hit with yet another points deduction in the new campaign.

However, they have got some funds to bolster the squad and by taking advantage of situations at other clubs could be really clever business.
