In light of John Textor’s growth, Sky Sports shares “exciting” late-night Everton takeover news.

Sky Sports have shared an update on the takeover situation at Everton, with Crystal Palace part-owner John Textor now considered the frontrunner.

Textor revealed in an interview with The Athletic last week that he was interested in buying out Farhad Moshiri’s stake at Goodison Park.

The American businessman admitted that may be unlikely due to 777 Partners being locked in an exclusivity agreement.

However, in a late-night update live on Sky Sports News [27 May, 9:01pm], the reporter said: “We start with the breaking and exciting news for Everton fans that, after so much woe, there could be better news on the horizon.

“John Textor, a part-owner of Crystal Palace, is now believed to be a frontrunner to buy Farhad Moshiri’s majority stake in the club.”
