The New York Islanders have signed forward Anthony Duclair to a four-year contract, the club announced Monday afternoon. According to TSN’s Chris Johnston, the contract carries a $3.5 million cap hit.
The Islanders also announced that they have re-signed Mike Reilly to a new one-year contract worth $1.25 million for the 2024-25 season.
Duclair, 28, racked up 24 goals and 42 points in 73 games split between the San Jose Sharks and Tampa Bay Lightning during the 2023-24 regular season. The 5’11” left wing added two assists in five playoff games with the Lightning.
Reilly, 30, joined the Islanders off waivers from the Florida Panthers midway through the 2023-24 season. The 6’1″ left-handed defender collected six goals and 24 points while averaging 17:15 of ice time in 59 games with the Islanders to close out the year; he tacked on a goal and an assist in five playoff contests.

The New York Rangers originally selected Duclair in the third round (No. 80 overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft. The Pointe-Claire, Quebec product appeared in 18 games with the Rangers in the 2014-15 season before being traded to the Arizona Coyotes.
Since playing in three seasons with the Coyotes, Duclair has suited up for the Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Ottawa Senators, and Florida Panthers, helping the latter of that bunch reaching the 2023 Stanley Cup Final. He subsequently joined the Sharks for the 2023-24 season and was flipped to the Lightning at the trade deadline.
Through 563 career games over parts of 10 seasons with the Rangers, Coyotes, Blackhawks, Blue Jackets, Senators, Panthers, Sharks, and Lightning, Duclair has collected 146 goals and 303 points. He’s added five goals and 16 points in 39 playoff contests.
Reilly was a fourth-round pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2011, but he never played for the team and eventually made his NHL debut with the Minnesota Wild in the 2015-16 season. He went on to play for the Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, and Boston Bruins before splitting last season between the Panthers and Islanders.
In 400 career games with six different NHL teams, Reilly has amassed 18 goals and 122 points. He’s tacked on one goal and six points in 21 playoff contests.
