Everton prospective owners 777 Partners want to know if the club will be in the Premier League next season.

That is according to former Goodison Park scout Bryan King, who believes those connected with the club are unsure about the US firm.

777 agreed to take over the club from Farhad Moshiri last year, but their takeover has not been approved by the Premier League.

Speaking to Goodison News, King said: “The most important thing is they want to know if they’re going to be in the Premier League next year.

“I think the reason it is taking so long is that people are a bit unsure about 777. They haven’t really got a good record have they, in what they’ve taken over?”

Everton and 777 Partners saga continues

It has seemingly been a lifetime since Moshiri agreed to hand over his Toffees stake to Miami-based firm 777.

The American company have plenty of experience in football, with the likes of Standard Liega, Genoa and Vasco da Gama among those within their portfolio. They would like to add the Goodison Park club to that list, but the wait for both parties continues, although there has recently been a verbal confirmation on the matter.

In other Everton news, one Toffees ace is set for an international blow as Newcastle United injury news emerges.
